I started breeding and raising mini pigs and I wanted to make sure that they went to their new homes with a harness and leash so their new parents didn’t have to go through the trouble of finding one that fit right.
I tried using dog harnesses, but they just don’t fit right. Then I ordered an “A” pig harness. This one fit great but I noticed that the nylon was pretty rough on their skin. They ended up with hair missing and sores wherever the harness straps rubbed.
So that is where the flannel pig harness started. The fabric is just as durable because it is layered and it is softer on the pigs skin.
PigGear started after customers contacted me because their pigs grew out of the harness that I provided and needed a bigger size.
